Kame — the death that renews

the death that renews·foresight·the ancestors
You were born on the day of death, and that has more to do with beginnings than with endings. In the tradition, dying means finishing a piece of work and crossing into another state, the way the night labours so the next morning can dawn. Kame joins death and rebirth, and it is also the day of the ancestors, who walk with those born on it. The animal usually linked to Kame is the owl, which sees in the dark. You have the same sight: you notice what is ending before others do, and you know something else comes after.
